LBR Home
Interior Design
Born and raised in Westport, CT, Laurie Blumenfeld-Russo was inspired to pursue a life in design after celebrating her 13th birthday on a family trip to India. This early experience ignited a life-long passion for travel, design and collecting and eventually broadened her horizons to Asia, South America, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and beyond.
Laurie spent the first part of her career in a creative, brand marketing role, where she led the special events department for Nickelodeon. With a strong desire to follow her passion for design, Laurie left the comfort of the corporate world and enrolled in Parsons’ highly coveted design program, where she obtained a degree in Interior Design. Laurie was immediately sought after for her global style and unique eye, and launched her eponymous firm LBR | HOME in 2014, which is now known as Laurie Blumenfeld Design to encompass the firm’s expansion into commercial and hospitality spaces, as well as product design.
Laurie Blumenfeld Design’s projects range from New York City apartments to complete renovations throughout New England and Washington DC and have been published in House Beautiful, Domino, Martha Stewart Living, Aspire Design and Home, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.
Laurie lives in Brooklyn Heights with her husband Bob and their Australian shepherd Ava with a completely renovated rooftop oasis, which functions as their “at-home” vacation home for these travel lovers.

Mark Murray Fine Paintings
Fine Paintings
159 E 63rd St, New York, New York 10065
Established in 1992, Mark Murray Fine Paintings specializes in European and American paintings from the 19th and early 20th centuries. Formerly at 39 East 72nd Street off Madison Avenue, we are pleased to announce we recently moved to a new ground floor location on a historic block between Lexington and Third Avenues. Located at 159 East 63rd Street, the gallery's sculpture garden backs on to the new home of the Dahesh Museum of Art, and adjoins the historic Barbara Rutherford Hatch House, subsequently the residence of Wright Brothers collaborator Charles Lawrance, Gypsy Rose Lee, and Jasper Johns. Across the street is the renowned Barbizon Hotel, which was home to Lauren Bacall, Joan Crawford, Grace Kelly and Sylvia Plath. The gallery is three blocks south of the Park Avenue Armory and a block east of the Museum of American Illustration.
The gallery’s ever-changing collection includes a range of periods and subject matter, including paintings by the French and American Impressionists; Pre-Raphaelites; Hudson River School; Marine paintings by British and Scandinavian artists; Sporting art by British and American painters including racing and hunting subjects; landscapes by Corot and his followers in Barbizon; exquisite views of Italy and Spain; traditional 19th-century sculpture by Barye, Mêne and others; and a substantial selection of Orientalist paintings by artists such as Gérôme, Weeks, and Bridgman. Although most works date from 1830–1930, there are often exceptions, such as a group of 17th-century Italian drawings, 20th-century marine and sporting works, and several specially chosen contemporary paintings.
Mark Murray Fine Paintings caters to an international group of collectors, designers, and private and public institutions. Several museums have acquired works from the gallery: among them the National Gallery, Washington, D.C., the Flint Institute of Arts, Michigan, the Dahesh Museum, New York, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Texas, and the San Diego Museum of Art, California. Paintings in the collection or acquired from the gallery have been included in major museum exhibitions at the British Library, London, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. The gallery participates in various art fairs, most recently Master Drawings and October Art Week in New York in 2017.

"My background is in textile design with a degree from ESMOD in Paris but I have always had a passion and fascination for jewellery, leather and stones, materials which only become more beautiful with time"
"I have lived and worked in places like Copenhagen, Paris, Milan and New York but have now settled in Cape Town, a captivating city full of contrasts and everlasting inspiration..."
"Inspiration is something I find in many ‘odd’ places, it can be the charisma or energy of a person, it can be an interesting pattern, surface or structure, it can come from ‘a walk in the park’ or a trip to the dessert…in short I think it comes down to being receptive to the beauty we are all surrounded by."

NS International LLC
I took my first art history course my sophomore year in college. I was hooked.
I spent my childhood going to flea markets, tag sales, historical houses and museums but I didn’t fully appreciate the study of art and objects. In my career I have handled claims relating to automatic teller machines (ATMs), movie productions, paintings, antique books, 19th Century furniture, Chinese bronzes, Tiffany lamps- and yes, Cezannes and Chifforobes. Being a fine art loss adjuster allows me to bring my art and insurance knowledge to work for my clients. In balancing the needs of the art with the commercial needs of the client I produce viable results. Every situation is an engaging challenge allowing me to exercise my creativity and problem solving skills.I know that you have a choice when it comes to selecting an adjuster, read about what makes us different.

Quebracho
Gilded Wood Connoisseurs and Fine Frame Markers
421 Troutman St, Brooklyn, New York 11237
Quebracho is a studio for connoisseurs, who love and appreciate art, its history and the great painters of yesterday, but the art doesn’t stop there, many of these masters bequeathed us the exquisite frames that surround their paintings. We are dedicated to keeping alive that eloquent spirit that still shines through their works. Every one of our artisans is devoted to re-creating historical frames, to offer you the appropriate design for your treasured paintings. We adhere strictly to the highest standards of execution, so much so, that we raise it to an art form in itself, before one expert stroke of the carver’s tool is made; we effectuate the necessary research and development. We can re-create a lost frame or create a new one based on historical information. At the other end of the spectrum, we can design and create a frame for a contemporary painting. Our designs are based on the shapes and forms that we are so familiar with in the 20th century.

Renata Stein Fine Art
Fine Art
115 Bennett Ave., #52B, New York, New York 10033
While communicating the "brokenness" of our contemporary world, I see the creative process as an opportunity for transcendence and healing.
Assembling fragments, transforming everyday objects and infusing them with new meaning, has always been at the core of my artistic work. Collage, assemblage, and papermaking lend themselves particularly well to such to such transmutations from base material into new spiritual and poetic entities.
The tools through which I translate the fissures and displacements of modern life into a visual vernacular consist of splintered, discarded fragments, found materials, from old book fragments, to scrap metal, hair, sand, and leaves. Materials have their own intrinsic history and symbolism that I combine with contemporary concerns and issues: sand, for instance, tells the story of the earth and is associated with the wanderings of today’s refugees, nomads and exiles.

Russ Schleipman
Photography
Like wine, art is for sharing. I create images to share them with others. There is tremendous satisfaction in the creating, but the knowledge that I might delight, surprise, or inform others is my motivation. The work on this site reflects decades of wonderful travel and rich experience, from Saharan crossings to flying in ultralights over Mt St Michel to befriending penguins at the Straits of Magellan.
I strive to reveal the unusual in the usual, and find beauty in the mundane or regularly unnoticed. Grand vistas from the Sahara, Australia, France and elsewhere, intimate botanical studies, people, machinery and simple household objects all hold visual secrets and have their unique story, which I try to tell with rigorous attention to design and composition.
My audience is visually astute: interior designers, architects, art consultants and collectors. Engaging and entertaining their well honed sensibilities and demanding vision is a rewarding challenge.
Because beauty lies in the eye of the beholder and because my fascination with the world is nondiscriminatory, I will offer a broad range of subject matter. One woman’s lily is another mans fighter jet. This site will never be finished. It will grow in many directions.
These images can be scaled to your needs. Sometimes bigger is better. One cannot ignore a four foot parrot tulip. They can also be printed on a number of different materials and mounted or framed according to the demands of a given environment.
I also work on assignment. If you have an idea for a subject matter or treatment you’d like to explore, let’s discuss it. If you’re ready to share it, most likely it has withstood the test of time and is a good one.
